    Tried 5 other apps and none of them have all the features you need and are as simple to use as this one. Just snap a picture and it does it for you or you can enter the info as well. The only thing I need to see is if I can change the categories or add some manually.

    Every time I’ve had an issue they cannot help me. First issue was a month ago. Expenses on my phone would no show on my computer. I followed all there recommendations, update the app, check the sync settings. Nothing worked. Final resolution... none. Still does it. Now, today, everything has changed. My categories are different. When creating an expense it always used to ask if I wanted to attach a branch, that feature is gone. Now when creating an expense the report field at the bottom is set to “automatic “ so every expense I have to click and choose none. Chat support have given me a pathway to resolve the issue with automatic but apparently I can’t do it through the phone app. Tried to log on to the website but it just kicks me to the app. My laptop is in my checked luggage so I will try again when I get back home. But seriously chat acts like they’ve never used the app. I never made any changes to THIER app. I’ve been using just like it came from the App Store. Frustrating. *****Update***** I have changed my review from 1 star to 4. The syncing problem is still not resolved but it’s probably an android vs apple problem. And honestly I haven’t spent any more time working on the sync issue. I’ve figured out to start a new report and just add expenses to the report from whichever phone the expense is on. Kinda a pain but workable. I figured out the “automatic “ and branch “tag” issue on my laptop. Support needs to make customers aware that the app features are WAY limited compared to the full website features. Also, customer support needs to understand that customers don’t know what the developers consider a “tag” or “category”. When they use these definitions to describe features of the app they should not assume that every customer is informed of their definitions. My work requires me to use the app and will say they have always responded to my inquiries quickly. Good effort on their part.

    We spent hours on a massive expense report, then sent a test version of the report and Expensify autoclosed the report due to my account being “submit only.” It would be helpful to warn users before an action will close a report. I would have stopped and either adjusted my account or not sent the test report. Please add a 2-step process for this and provide more clarity on account specifics to prevent frustration for future users.

    this app and company is horrible. you can’t cancel OR change your password! my account is somewhere in limbo land and they are still trying to charge me monthly even though my subscription is expired!! i can’t speak with anyone. 😡

    1. An option to individually see what product I purchased and make it search-able so as to know how much did I spend this year on ice cream alone with the list of their dates I bought them. Since I’m already uploading all my receipts to your server. 🧾 This one has a bigger story to it. I buy stuff for me and my roommate when I’m out and then when I meet him at home, we look at the receipt 🧾 for hours and figure out what product belongs to whom and how much money should he give me for the stuff that I bought and brought to him. That’s a huge pain on a daily bases. It would be a merciless if this app solved this problem. 2. This needs to be there already. A built in receipt scanner so that it crops and aligned the corners of the receipt and store it elegantly. Thanks and I hope 🤞🏻 someone from the team who made this app reads this. Thanks for dedicating the time to building this app.

    They offer no way to close your account once you open one. There is no way to do it within the app, and if you contact them, they say you have to do it from the app. Very sleazy.

    When I got layoff 2 months ago, I lost access to my email but still have an mobile access. So I asked support to delete my sensitive information thru the app and they can not delete it. Only thru web, only hardcore. Support not give to me a manager email, but I asked 5 times (I counted). Everything will be ok if you used the app and have access to your working email, but when you lost access - this is the end of the way Ups: support not helped as well. They told me: delete account thru your ex company. No additional help with deleting sensitive data (bank account) and etc. Also support did not share with me support manager email, but I asked 5 times...

    I actually got this app because I was in charge of implementing this software to collect receipts and coding from company cardholders at work. I liked it enough and just so I can train myself more, I started using Expensify for personal finance. It is overall a good app. However I dearly miss the features in desktop that are missing on the mobile version. I would like a breakdown of the categories within a Report, so I can see how I much I have spent so far in, let’s say, coffee cagegory this month. I can’t do that on mobile. I also cannot mass update or merge expenses. Would be lovely to have that on both iOS and android (I have an iPad pro and an android phone.)

    Non-Existent customer service! No way to talk to anyone EVER! I had an employee pass away, he had an account routed to his personal credit card, emailed in to ask for assistance in canceling his account as he continues to be charged. Was given the proverbial middle finger on multiple attempts. When I said I have no interest in doing business with a company as apathetic as them, and was canceling all our company subscriptions and switching to Certify, here is their actual response: “Sounds like a plan! Let me know if you need anything else!” This after I just explained my friend died. Pathetic horrible customer service. Service still isn’t canceled and still being charged...

    The learning curve for this supposed #1 receipt capture app is ridiculous and I think some of the help I’ve had are pat answers not knowledge answers. I mean all I need is receipt capture a easy way to categorize receipts and be able to simply print an accounting of the category. NO! It’s more like a “CLUSTER F—k” “

    This app used to be good, but I’ve had to turn off alerts after they just can’t stop pushing their credit card on the browser, phone, and now even sending an alert to my phone. I asked them to turn it off on my account, but they “can’t”.

    I start the GPS feature and it works fine at first so I leave the app open and the phone locked and after a while, I check the app and find the app crashed and signed out. When I sign in, all my GPS progress is gone.

    A few years ago, I decided to improve my record keeping. Expensify was the mode I chose. After buying the app, I never really got started, and that’s not the fault of Expensify. So, the monthly credit card charge just kept rolling while the app sat unused in my phone. Today, I decided to cancel. I couldn’t find a cancel option on the app. I wrote concierge and got an immediate response asking how to help and keep me in the fold. I again asked for instructions on canceling. Concierge went cold. After multiple messages from me and 7+ hours time, I got the SAME “no answer” response. Then, finally, instructions that DID NOT work! I then called the phone number given for Expensify on my credit card statement. Guess what? The answering machine mail box is FULL! So, I’d advise those looking for an app of this type to look elsewhere. I’d hate to have a pressing need with this app- you can’t get a response without much effort, and then all you get Is the runaround.

    We purchased This app a while back and when our company had to close during the pandemic, we had no income and asked to cancel our membership to save every penny we could and DURING THE PANDEMIC, THEY REFUSED TO REFUND THE MONEY FOR THE UNUSED MONTHS AND STILL CHARGED US AN EARLY PENALTY ON TOP OF THAT. We will never use this app again and we are really disappointed that any company would bleed a small business during a worldwide crisis. Please support small businesses around America by NOT PURCHASING THIS APP.

    I’ve had Expensify since 2014 or so as a free app; bucking the trend they have no ads and for my tiny biz, is perfect. Began feeling guilty to pay nothing with them storing my receipt photos free, paid a couple months at $9.00 / mo, decided that is a bit high- can mean the difference between bouncing a Ck and not to have recurring debits like that: but, when I went back to free, after dropping out for half a year my info was intact, good customer service told me how to go “free” again; only paid something like 27.00 to come back onboard; even after I’d reneged; wish I could buy a scaled down version outright, but loving it so far. So much better than receipts turning black on the dashboard in the Texas sun! And unreadable at tax time!I’ve had

Fast forward over a month later nothing so I decided tostick with my current one because of a run around I receive and some rude messages from customer service team

    This app has a good mission. I was recommended to upload my EBT purchases to it. To my surprise a amount was deposited directly into my checking account three weeks later. It’s not much but it helped with a week of emergency groceries and can keep me afloat (and out of grocery stores) so I can stay healthy and not spread COVID19 or put my community at risk. The app is easy to use and customer service is great. Thank you for all you do Expensify!

    The app keeps telling me my free trial period ended but I’ve been paying for the unlimited plan for 2yr + and now it won’t process my receipts and the “convo” bubble doesn’t work & no other contact info is provided. What’s going on?!

    Not only does the app work perfectly for tracking and sending my receipts to my office finance dept seamlessly and with great detail. It definitely made my life easier! I also can’t say enough about how flexible and understanding the customer support is. Very quick at responding to all my questions and concerns. No matter how frustrated I am they are always very professional and understanding. A very professional app with professional support! If your looking for a receipt tracking app seriously stop looking. You found it!

    Their pricing is totally GARBAGE. The program does not justify what they charge. I went to cancel and they prorated my fees for the year and charged me $108. Absolutely and totally ridiculous. I’ll never come back.
