Reviews of HBR Global

  • Biggest challenge is not being able to save articles

There are many times an article I read is something I want to go back to. But the app does not have a function to save or flag. Making it difficult to go back to previous good reads.
  • Cannot Log Into App

I've tried everything I know and the app rejects my login credentials. I can log onto the site via my iPad and laptop browsers, but not the app. That keeps me from being able to sync across devices or view articles. It's really too bad because I enjoy the material that HBR creates!

Great to skim and then dive into articles of interest. Always informative and engaging.
  • I Love HBR

I often picked up the paper version in airports. But never had a subscription. For 10 bucks I figured I’d try it and it’s perhaps the best 10 I spend every month.
  • Great content, So-so UI

The content on HBR is awesome. But finding articles in the app which I saw on LinkedIn is tricky. And annotating in app is frustrating. I could wish for a Medium-like experience when annotating.

  • UI could be made better

I have so many issues with logging in to the app and this is after a paying subscriber has issues with accessing the digital version online. Lots to improve on the app. So many beautiful articles bu the UX is frustrating
  • It doesn’t even allow me login

HBR as great content, but its online experience is not great at all :(
  • I don’t like being asked to write a review

  • Don’t subscribe in ap

I can’t count the number of times I’ve had restore purchase, activate in the app, had to try to access from other apps, issues like this are constant and the support response is utterly uninterested in dealing with problems related to in app subscriptions as though the very existence of this option is somehow beneath them. (they’re all to welcoming to setup a new account without offering a price break which basically means pay for the same content twice). I’m not sure if the problems are with the publisher or Apple. Whatever the issue, I suggest subscribing via their normal process as opposed to through Apple. Or not bothering to digital subscribe at all
  • Maz is inconsistent vendor

New issues on the app never have the pdf version on release. Requires constant follow-up. This doesn’t happen with Fortune Mag app or Links magazine app.
  • Can’t login to the app

This app is terrible. The website works fine, but I can’t login with exactly the same credentials. This needs fixed immediately.
  • Awful UI on iPad

The UI is awful on iPad.
  • Poor log in experience

It took one week to send me the link. No step by step log in instruction. I was subscriber several times. Now I recall why I have decided not to subscribe again... Why on Earth I can not log in with my existing, but not active account? Why I need to create new password every time I subscribe? And HBR teaches us how to make business. Funny. Should start with themselves.
  • Great publication, worse App!

I don’t understand how such a great publication has a such malfunctioning App! I am a subscriber to HBR but almost every time the App ask me to log in. What ever I save on the App, I can’t see on the computer. The App is not synchronizing my account. I can’t listen to interviews on the App, it will start from beginning when my phone goes to lock screen. I am very disappointed at the App, and I hope you can fix it. Or at least try it for a couple of days to see my frustration. Thanks.
  • No Other Publication Necessary

What you need, when you need it, about exactly what you’re looking for.

Can’t use app - it closes when using it
  • Please add Dark mode & ability to increase text size

Please add dark mode and the ability to increase font text size. Your content is incredible , but blue light/eye strain is the current price to pay to consume it.
  • hours spent trying to enable offline viewing

    Still not working correctly.
  • Missing content

    2
    By adegollado
The app doesn’t show the latest content from hbr.org. I’m not sure how often it get updated, but new articles on hbr don’t always show on the app and I find out I’m actually missing content. I’m a digital subscriber on the website. The app doesn’t have value other than the magazine, but my saved articles don’t sync. The app should be more integrated.
  • Mobile app feedback

I enjoy having access to past issues of HBR, but I’m missing content I am able to access on the website. The mobile app feels a bit limiting.
  • Not a Harvard Quality App

I paid a lot of money for their subscription. Unfortunately their app crashes all the time. Thanks HBR
  • Poor app; hard to navigate

Poor display, hard to look for information. Not logical, not easy to navigate
  • Cumbersome, poor search

HBR digital platforms have never been user friendly. Why, for example, do I need a subscriber number? This is left over from the days of paper subscriptions, I guess, but I had to log in three times (creating the same account twice) after I renewed my digital subscription. Now I can’t find an article when I run a search in the app even though I just read it on LinkedIn. Frustrating.
  • BUGS GALORE

    1
    By chessplayer34577
Why so many bugs for a prestigious magazine like HBR? Get it together already. You can’t save articles without it closing down on you. It takes multiple login pages to get anywhere. User experience anyone?
  • Does not sync

    By Iphonehd
What can’t I log onto the website with the credentials I use to log on to the app? Am I only paying to read articles on my phone? I was under the impression I could access the digital format on any device. This is a waste.
  • Minimum viable product

    1
    By archangels89
Very bare bones, especially compared to The Economist. Articles load slowly, no way to download stories that aren’t in the magazine for offline reading, no dark mode support, no audio version, no way to search articles older than a few weeks.
  • Nice outlineand content, weird blink at end of read

    By myopinionforfree
Great reads, but on my iphonex the page blinks weirdly when I scroll more than the text is long. I hope that makes sense to you.
  • Crashes nearly every time I use it

Just signed up for an online account today and downloaded the app. Crashed through my process of signing in. Once I got through that it crashes each time I try to refresh the stories on the home page by swiping down.

The app is very user friendly and the very handy when I am traveling or just want a quick glance at the latest business case studies or news.
  • Crash time

    2
    By JB900100
App “crashes” about 50% of the time when I open it. Content and UI is fine.
  • Cannot Sync Across Devices

    By mjy0525
I cannot access any articles I save on the desktop site on this app, which to me really devalues having the app. I tried to send an email via the Help screen, but I received a message saying I have no active email account on my iPad, which is totally false. I have Outlook and Gmail accounts on my iPad I use regularly, not to mention an email account associated with my account. Article content is very good but the user experience is horrible. Very surprised that HBR would put something out like this.
  • World class content but buggy app

Content is superb. But the IT department at HBR doesn't seem to follow HBR management practices. App fails to log in at times searches do not bring results and do not provide timely feedback, etc
